New Biology Journal from BioMed Central

BioMed Central has announced the launch of Biology Direct, a new online open access journal with a unique system of peer review.
"Biology Direct aims to provide authors and readers of research articles with a novel system of peer review. This will include making the author responsible for obtaining reviewers' reports, via the journal's Editorial Board; making the peer review process open rather than anonymous; and publishing the reviewers' reports along with the articles, thus increasing both the responsibility and the reward of the referees and eliminating sources of abuse in the refereeing process". Navigate faster via an improved homepage that is cleaner, more streamlined, and easier to use. Other features include:

• Set any product-specific search page as the initial start page — Improved personalization lets users start where they want to start.
• Launch CrossSearchSM from within any product — There’s no need to go back to the ISI Web of Knowledge homepage to conduct a cross search.
• Link to more free open access journals — All customers with links will have 37 more open access journals added to their portfolios, with additional open access resources to be added monthly.
